Your message

Hi Studio B! I'm interested in HIFU and I'd like to book a consultation.

What it helps with

HIFU firms skin that has started to sag: a softer jawline and jowls, a double chin, a loose neck, heavy brows and fine lines. It works best on mild to moderate sagging, for people who want a lift without surgery.

How it works

HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. The handpiece focuses ultrasound energy at set depths under the skin, including the deep layer that a surgical facelift tightens, and heats tiny points there without harming the surface. The heat makes the tissue contract and prompts your skin to build new collagen, which lifts and firms it over the following weeks.

What to expect

  • We cleanse your skin, apply a gel and draw guide lines so every pass lands where it should.
  • During the session you feel brief pulses of heat. Sensitive areas can be treated at a lower setting.
  • Afterwards your skin may look slightly red or feel tender or swollen for a few days. You can go back to your day and wear makeup the same day.
  • The lift develops gradually over two to three months. Daily sunscreen and good skin care help the result last.

Who should wait or skip it

HIFU is not done during pregnancy, over open wounds, active acne or an infection, or over metal implants in the area. Tell us first if you have a pacemaker or another implanted device, recent fillers or a skin condition. Very loose skin may need a surgeon’s evaluation instead. We review your health history at the consultation.

Questions about HIFU

Does HIFU hurt?

You feel short pulses of deep heat and some tingling, stronger over bony areas such as the jawline. Most people find it tolerable, and each pulse lasts only a moment.

When will I see results?

Some people notice a slight lift right away, but the real change builds over two to three months as your skin makes new collagen. Results usually last about a year.

Can HIFU be used on the body?

Yes. Besides the face and neck, it can firm loose skin on the belly, arms and above the knees. At your consultation we tell you whether it suits your area.
